Madagascar Expedition: 1997

In 1997, I taught an intensive course in phylogenetic systematics at the University of Antananarivo. This course was sponsored by Steve Goodman, and his Ecology Training Program (ETP), and funded by the MacAuthur Foundation. I also worked with Steve and a number of Malagasy graduate students in the western village of Ampoza where we prospected for Holocene subfossils.
