Madagascar Expedition: 1986

In 1986, I inventoried the vertebrate paleontology collections contained at the Academy Malagache and at the QueenÕs Palace (tragically destroyed by fire in 1995). This work was funded by the National Museum of Natural History (and sponsored by Storrs Olson and Michael Carleton). I was also fortunate to join the field crew directed by Bob Dewar for archaeological and paleontological excavations in Antsiranana (Diego Suarez).
