Writing Assignment for Week of Sept. 10 -- Life History (Van Schaik):
This assignment is due on October 12th.  Please hand this in to Tracy by 5:00 p.m.

You have the choice of two options; please complete ONE:

1. Write an approximately one-page essay on how life history affects the ecological question or system that you want to study or are studying.  Could life history influence the phenomenon you're interested in, and can you speculate on how this might affect your study? Is there an interesting comparative perspective?

2. Briefly summarize (less than one page) the three main phases of theorizing about life histories and their evolution, based on the Pagel and Purvis chapter.
