MAJOR PHYTOTRON RENOVATIONS AND UPGRADES SINCE 1995
A number of significant upgrades and renovations have been made to the facility since 1995, as part of the Phytotron's effort to continue to provide state-of-the-art controlled environment research space. They are listed below.

| 1996 | (1) All S Chambers upgraded
with new high intensity lighting and computer controllers (2) Greenhouse roof spray system replaced |
| 1997 | Humidity control added to all S Chambers |
| 1998 | Glycol chillers replaced (glycol system provides cooling for growth chambers) |
| 1999 | (1) Glycol chillers replaced
(glycol system provides cooling for growth chambers) |
| 2000 | Greenhouse glass replaced |
| 2002 | New CO2 control system for all chambers and greenhouses installed |
| 2003 | Supplemental lighting installed in two greenhouse bays |
