Much of our research is focused on Boechera, a close wild relative of Arabidopsis. In addition, we are collaborating on the sequencing of a salt tolerant crucifer, Thellungiella halophila, at JGI. Finally, a new major focus of our work is genetics of ecologically and agriculturally important traits in grasses, such as the model system Brachypodium distachyon, and diploid species in the genus Panicum.
