Fun!
2007 (see here for New Zealand)
In the summer of 2007 we try the Pyrenees (see summer of 2006 and 2005 in the Alps and 2004 in Provence). We see two mountain stages of the Tour de France, and do many of the important climbs. Pictures are of: me on Col de Peyresourde cheering on Levi and the pelaton; the set up for the Tour finish on the Col d'Aubisque; me at the top of Col du Tourmalet (whew), Bill and I on Aspin, in prep for the climb to Aubisque (the back way); me (the little tiny dot) on the final switchbacks of Luz Ardiden; a fabulous hike to the Cirque de Gavarnie; and finally Bill on his way up Hautacam.

In June of 2007 we go to New Zealand. I'm representing NESCent at the Evolution meetings, but we take an extra week to drive around this fabulous country. Pictures below include the beach at Piha; the NESCent booth (yes, I did some business), the view of the Southern Alps from our hotel room in Christchurch, Mt. Taranaki, two very smooth crossings of the Cook Straits, the view from our bed and breakfast in the middle of a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc vineyard, and in the amazing thermal area near Rotorua.
More adventures, including lots of biking in 2008 2006, 2005, 2004 and 2003 can be found here.
