Fun!

2009

In 2009 we go on a 25th wedding anniversary tandem bike trip to the Dordogne region of France. Great food and wine, lovely cycling, historic sites, and most interesting of all, visits to 4 different prehistoric art sites as well as the French National Museum of Prehistory in Les Ezyies, our home base. An absolutely fabulous trip. We also repeated our now annual trip to Bonaire for lots of windsurfing and diving.

The Dordogne

Totals = 11 days of riding, 631 km = 392 miles and 8414 meters = 27,605 feet climbed. No flat tires, 1 set of brake pads replaced. One pair of inexpensive sunglasses knocked into the Dordogne. At least 30 baguettes and who knows how many croissants, glasses of wine and rounds of very fine cheese consumed.

Bonaire

and, we take our annual trip to Zion National Park to visit family in July

More adventures, including lots of biking in 2007 2006, 2005, 2004 and 2003 can be found here. In 2008 we go on a great trip to the Galapagos Islands.
