Effects of Climate Change on Terrestrial BiodiversityBio 217 Ecology and Global Change |

| Climate change is a major threat to species, communities, and ecosystems
due to the rapid rate at which the climate is expected to change in the
near future. This website describes the numerous effects on terrestrial
biodiversity from climate change. I briefly review the current knowledge
on climate change and then discuss the potential and known effects on terrestrial
biodiversity. Next, I discuss the conservation implications and some approaches
that can help to counteract this problem.
