 Under
low nutrient conditions plant roots undergo a variety of developmental
alterations in an effort to increase nutrient absorption. I am interested
in the regulatory networks that regulate these changes. Using fluorescence-activated
cell sorting (FACS) along with microarray analysis I will be tracking
alterations in whole root genomic expression patterns in response
to deficiencies to nutrients, and describing the expression and localization
of uncharacterized transcription factors that may regulate lateral
root emergence.
