 In order to develop an exhaustive model of SHR-mediated signalling in the root radial pattering, I am taking advantage of a combination of new technologies for imaging and tracking cellular processes. Fluorescence-imaging techniques, like fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) as well as bimolecular fluorescence complementation (BiFC), will provide valuable ways to visualize and quantify the spatio-temporal mobility of SHR in living cells.
