 I
am interested in understanding the grammar that the cell uses to
interpret the stream of letters that it contains. I see this grammar
as composed of mechanisms of transcriptional regulation both at
a lower (promoters) and at a higher (nucleus organization and long-range
regulators) level. How changes in transcriptional regulation of
genes are contributing to forming new organisms is also fascinating
to me. My current project aims at obtaining a better idea of how
to efficiently use the comparison of homologous non-coding sequences
for finding regulatory sequences.
